Lake Hāwea station wedding

Claire and Rob flew over from Australia to get married at the beautiful Lake Hāwea Station near Wānaka. Rob is Kiwi and Claire is Canadian/Filipino and it’s pretty safe to say the may have won the award for most nationalities present at their wedding with guests flying in from all over the world. These two incredible humans thought this was the ideal place to get hitched as they both love the mountains and hiking, so having towering peaks and an alpine lake at your feet seemed only appropriate. It was a sweltering summers day with no wind and clear skies, so by the end of it most guests had worked up quite a sweat, so what better way to finish the celebrations than a dip in a cold freshwater lake at 10pm with half your wedding party!
